Erasure Poem

On Tuesday we made these "erasure" poems. We took this article and had to use only those words in that order to create a poem, blacking out anything we didn't use. This is what I ended up having left.

There is power in words.
A brilliant example begins "I can"
Another is trapped in haunting fragments.
The shifting fields of our loss and balance change
Heavy black lines remain.
New words float down in clouds
At the time of the uncertainties of this world.
More emerges.

A fledgling is developing.
Anyone can.
There is hope in all.
